Brand photography for Design Agency Owner in Raleigh, N.C.

Working with creative business owners on brand sessions is always one of my favorite things, especially when the goal is to create images that truly support a website refresh and future content.

I had the pleasure of photographing Erika Maram, owner of Erika Maram Design Studio, for a brand session in Raleigh. This Raleigh brand photography session was created specifically for her website refresh, with the intention of building a strong visual library that reflects both her personality and her design approach.

Erika works with editorial clients and has a strong modern fashion-forward aesthetic that I immediately connected with. I loved that because it brought me back to my early days working in fashion photography—where attention to posture, clean lines, expression, and subtle details mattered so much in building an image.

We photographed in a studio setting in Raleigh, which gave us a clean and intentional backdrop to create images that felt elevated, refined, and aligned with her brand. The overall vibe was modern, polished, approachable, and confident—very much in tune with the experience she offers her clients.

For this Raleigh brand photography session, we captured a variety of images that can be used across her website, social media, speaking features, and future marketing materials. That included both horizontal and vertical compositions, along with intentional negative space so images can easily support text, graphics, or website banners when needed.

If you're planning a brand photoshoot in Raleigh for a visual design consultant, or creative entrepreneur, here is a simple shot list you can use:

  • Relaxed headshots smiling at the camera

  • Working on a laptop or reviewing design plans

  • Writing notes or sketching ideas

  • Holding materials, samples, or visual references

  • Lifestyle portraits with natural movement

  • Detail shots that highlight hands, textures, and objects

  • Images that feel editorial but still approachable

  • Frames with room for website text or brand messaging

Here’s how we brought the moodboard and shot list to life:

We focused on creating images that felt clean and intentional, while still allowing personality to come through. Because of her strong visual brand, every pose, angle, and detail mattered. The studio environment gave us flexibility to create portraits that can live across multiple platforms while staying cohesive with her overall design language.

The result is a collection of images that support her website refresh and give her a consistent visual library for future content—something every business owner investing in brand photography in Raleigh can benefit from.

A strong brand session is not just about beautiful photos—it’s about creating assets that reflect who you are and where your business is going.
