Brand Session for a Financial Educator and Podcast Host in Raleigh, NC
Working with personal brands that carry multiple dimensions is always especially rewarding because the images need to communicate more than one role clearly and cohesively.
I had the opportunity to photograph a brand session for a financial professional in Raleigh who is also an author and the host of Dinero en Spanglish. The goal of this session was to create a versatile image library that could support her professional presence across speaking engagements, podcast promotion, website content, social media, and book-related visibility.
Because her work bridges financial education and culturally relevant communication, it was important that the images felt professional, approachable, confident, and relatable. We wanted visuals that reflected trust and expertise without losing warmth.
A key part of the session was making sure the photographs could represent all parts of her brand: financial leadership, media presence, and authorship.
We created a variety of portraits and lifestyle images that included both horizontal and vertical compositions for flexibility across platforms. We also intentionally left room in several frames for text overlays, promotional graphics, and website banners.
If you're planning a brand photoshoot for a financial professional, author, or podcast host, here is a simple shot list you can use:
Professional headshots with direct eye contact
Seated portraits with relaxed posture
Working on a laptop or reviewing documents
Holding or reading a book
Detail shots of hands, books, and a workspace
Lifestyle images that feel approachable but polished
Here’s how we brought the moodboard and shot list to life:
We focused on creating clean, modern images that communicate authority while still feeling natural. Because her audience connects with both financial education and personal storytelling, expression and body language were especially important throughout the session.
The final gallery gives her strong brand visuals she can use across her website, podcast promotion, social content, media features, and future projects.
A thoughtful brand session helps professionals show the many ways they serve their audience—especially when their work extends across business, media, and education.
